POISE is going to be my opening guess today. I get yellows for O and E. Isn't that how yesterday started? Since yesterday's puzzle was a tough one, my second guess is DEMON. I get a green for E, and yellow for M and O. Hmm. I don't think I've found the first letter on this one. The only OE word I can think of Oenophile, which is way too long. Oedipus, but again, way too long and also a name. ME opens up some possibilities, but my brain locks up because I see MEOW and now it's all I can think about. Too short, I can't use the S, does MEOWY count as a word? I gotta get off this train of thought.
I start looking at the O. I assume it's either third or fifth. I put it at the end with M. I like the way the MO looks at the end, but can't think of anything to do with it. I play around with ME at the start. I have to put O at the end to avoid the MEOW stuff again. MELLO. But the only time I think it's been spelled that was a for Mello Yello, so that's not something I'm going to submit. I noodle around and get METRO. That feels good. And it's the right answer.
I liked today's puzzle, but find it kind of strange that E and O have been in both answers so far. This reminds me off a few weeks back when there were like 3 days in a row with U. There probably isn't a pattern or hidden message to the answers. Wait? Is there a hidden message in Wordle answers. No, probably not. But, maybe... Further investigation is warranted.
